How to get rid of gas fumes?

Hi all.

Any ideas on how to get gasoline fumes/smell out of an RC10 Box, manuals and rubber tires?

I picked up a RC10 recently on a shady internet deal. It is a nice very low run buggy but has gasoline fumes the seller did not mention. The box is stained and heavily fumed. Manuals lightly stained and funed. Buggy is not stained but fumed. I took the car apart piece by piece. The plastics seemed good after some warm water, soap and scrubbin. The tires though still hold fumes after same procedure. I know it may be easier to go to ebay and look for new box, papers and tires, but want that as a last resort.

The buggy is the last gold pan, CE Stealth with all black plastics in mint shape, minus the fumes :(

Thank you in advance for any help, tips or suggestions.

Fill a bag of coffee grinds in a nylon sock and leave it in the box for as long as you can.

Timely question...I'm interested in any answers too, as I took two 4-litre containers of 12-year-old gas I siphoned out of my Charger's gas tank, to work to dispose of it properly...and now, nearly a week later, it still smells of gas inside my Torrent. :x

Good ideas. Is there any hope for the tires though? Maybe put them in a container with coffee or charcoal?

Not sure about the tires. I would wash them with a decent detergent and then spray them with some silicone. You could leave those in the box with the scent absorbers as well.
