Reviving my Worlds Car

Post by transamman908 »

I got this chassis at a automotive swap meet back in the late 90's for a steal. I stripped some parts off of it as it sat over the years and decided to bring it back to life recently. I went with B2 wheels, B2 aluminum cvd's, changed all the fasteners/screws to stainless, added the missing parts and gave it a good cleaning. I plan or hoping on a box art paint job. Still looking for a 410-HPc speedo and ner 3fm receiver to give it the 90's look.

Are those the correct rear tires from the kit? Does anyone know the name and/or part #?

Join the club. I never find sh!+ no matter where I go. Well, unless it's whipped and marked $400...

It's hard today to find these older r/c at flea markets or swap meets. Back in the 90's the stuff was a easier find. I use to sell Firebird/Camaro parts at Englishtown swap meet they hold annualy in spring and fall, so I would be there before it was open to the public on set up day which is where I would find great deals on things. Now on the other hand all you find is late model traxxas that are beat to shit or a guy who finds a gold pan in his attic and thinks the chassis is 24k because he "researched" Ebay and saw some ding dong trying to sell one that's been on there for month after month at some crazy price. Estate sales, storage auctions and garage sales are still promising though. Just have to be in the right place at the right time I guess.

I nearly rear end someone or drive off the road every time I pass one of these trying to rubber neck for vintage r/c. Texting while driving is illegal, but they need to add searching for vintage r/c to that list.

X2. What I've done is find garage salers who do this religiously and offer up rewards for finding me slot cars and r/c stuff. Keeps me from running into parked cars while rubbernecking

Gettin anywhere with the paint part Eddie? Making me want to do something with mine 8)
