actually very glad i found this site....its great to know im not the only guy out there that worships gold. ive been in this hobby for over 25 years now and within the last 6 years have been aggressivly seaching for vintage rc10 runners since i just cant seem to not wanna run an rc car in my possession so ive held off on finding a mint shelf queen. with that said ill share a few really bad pics of whats on the table being worked on. better pics will come as soon as i switch over to my new droid x.

thank you for the welcome...yes i do have a small amount of stuff

and to think im still trolling ebay for more...goal is to have at least one complete version of all incarnations of rc10 cars up until the b4 and t4...really trying to find a late team car graphite stealth...the one with the unique chassis plate. just picked up a 60% there t2 the other day and a few other rc10 black tub stuff and a hough carbon chassis converted buggy. some of my suff is well used but still good and some stuff barely used that are not nice enough to not use. im currently gearing up for the next club series at my local track with a skinny front tire version rc10t as we speak...goal is to really stick it to the new stuff by going for a podium for the series with a 20 year old truck

i have a goldpan stealth CE buggy that ive ran a few times and have finished as strong as 2nd and just hearing the words "was that a goldpan rc10?" as it cleared the triple and screamed down the straight is awesome. anyways i hope to get into the b/s/t section soon to find some good deals.

Hey welcome to the board man, I'm also fairly new here but it really is a great source of info. I must say I laughed when you said you wanted to stick it to the new school stuff in your local series, as I'm trying to do the same here at WCRC. I have been running my dynoteched CE in stock buggy and I'm getting faster with it every week. Isn't it awesome to clear the triple in a goldie!

I had at least 5-6 people today come up to me completely amazed that I'm competitive with it! I will be watching for updates!

when i first took the goldpan out of my bag and was putting the batteries in it and was getting it ready to go turn some laps it got some attention...then they seen i had other rigs so i was'nt crazy enough to run it...but then when it came down the straight the first lap and then hit the triple the sun must have shined just right because a couple of other guys my age freaked and knew what it was. its nice to pass someones $500-$1000 investment with something that cost me $5 bucks at a garage sale and $50 in parts to make it stronger from ebay and the electronics i already had....while they are snapping chassis mine will be making that good old hollow aluminium "tink" as hit lands

Sounds like we have another SoCal goldie runner in our midst.
We should all meet up and see if we can get a few more vintage guys out there with us...then maybe a vintage only class
GoldRush, what you running in it? Stock/Brushed/Brushless/Mod?

my runner right now has fresh ...wait for it....losi scb rtr esc and motor in it...yes i know its like puting fake boobs on an ugly girl but its all i had n the pit box. the plan for my rc10t runner is 17.5 brushless to meet stock sportsman rules for hot rod hobbies. the other runners lets just say i have an 8.5 that needs a home and im looking at getting a 13.5 and 10.5 fo the others. im still collecting parts so i have spares just incase i break...i already messed with one of the new guys at hobby people just to be an ass...."i need rear arm mounts and front shock tower for an rc10" the blank look on his face when the car was set on the counter was priceless

definitly need to get together and run some old stuff against the new stuff....cant make fun of one guy running old stufff if he has 2 or 3 othr guys running the same stuff...gotta do work to those new fragile b4.1 buggies and hear them cry

love running at Hot Rod, I may make the shootout again this year, ran the Goldie in one heat last year then caved in to the new millennium and ran my 22 the other heats and main.
Post up some pics when you get a chance, if I get a chance to make it up to Hot Rod again (maybe JBRL) I will give you plenty of notice.

i like to keep my hands busy with projects...keeps me sane. ive got a crap load of parts on the way new and used via ebay so im just waiting to get a few complete. some will be kept around as rollers so i can have a spare to just toss in electronics for a friend to run or if i break something major and dont ave the time to pull it apart to fix....kinda like how nascar has a backup car,its excessive in r/c but i like to roll to the track prepared.
