Cheers for all your help guys..
I've finally finished my mint SWB box art resto, took a good few days, cost me a good few quid but worth it for me to have this baby in my collection.. As of now I've not seen another anywhere.. decided to share the hard won decals taken from original artwork source material via the 'usual' auction channels, so it won't this unique for long i reckons...

Lofty's garage is building ;0)

Any pictures available of your boxart job? I'd love to see them (as I'm sure others would too).

I see that the boxart decals have made their way on to ebay. I've purchased a set and am looking forward to making a start on my boxart job as/when I have the time...

Looks fantastic.
Are you going to fit a driver like the one on the box?

yeah, got the correct (original) driver mould for the CAT but it's massively different to the one shown on the box (as was often the case back in the day)just trying to weigh up matching to original kit vs. matching to driver on box art.. MMmmmmm

The first off-road car from Schumacher which exploded Kyosho cars when it's arrived, your one seems to come from MacFly holiday in the past 8)

Would you have some pics without the body ?

Thanks for the pictures. Great boxart job there. I think yours is truly the first one that I have seen so really well done.

I've seen your entries in the "gallery" section on this forum and note that you have a boxart optima. Can I ask how you did that boxart job? I have an optima to build and would like to do the boxart job too but it looks so complicated...! Any tips most welcome. Thanks.

cheers CNA, couldn't quite believe it myself but that's how the optima arrived via craigslist (just needed good clean) - if you google box images you'll see lots of adhesive pinstripes used on original, not too hard but v. time consuming - not as hard as producing templates + doing curved back of my rc10 in gallery posts... that was proper tricky

Indeed, Kyosho must've had a pinstripe fetish when they did some of those car bodies back then.

Such a nice SWB Cat (probably the nicest out there) - well done on the box art body & faithfully reproducing the decals & making them available for others to achieve the same.

P.S; I recognise your first image from a US based Tamiyaclub member's showroom - I beleive that was a NIB kit, did you build this car from this kit or is the image for reference purposes?
