Im noticed this come up on an action site here in Japan.
I don't know much about circuit racing, but I do remember this car
mostly because i was pining for a PB Maxima at the time. Looks
like its in nice condition. You certainly don't see many of them for
sale.

Does anyone have any history on this model?

These cars are awesome, if you ask me you can look at one and enjoy a cup of coffee. They are from Britain, and if I am not mistaken have a few metric items such as hardware and dimensional measurements. You can run standard SAE bearings and wheels. They came out around 90-91, which I can not say for certain as I am guessing they were available in Britain around 90, and hit the US shores in 91. The rear is mounted via a 5 link setup, it has 4 tie rods on the sides, and one pan-hard bar to keep the pod centered. I believe the Oval cars ran an Vertical rear shock right behind the Pan hard bar, and in front of the motor mount.

Hope this helps a bit.

Hi, I run with one in the 90, the car run well, but nobody run with on major events, and without result
It's not a best seller for PB, but an special and unique car.
The shock demand a good work , to work well and smooth, without oil failed.
Come with Tufnol gear material...

Always wanted a Sizzler, definately a hard car to find.

If i remember correctly there were 2 slightly different versions as i'm sure i've seen adverts in my old magazines for a Sizzler 90/91.

If going by what our local magazine here in Australia was saying back then this car seemed like a nice car to race. I have the article somewhere 8)

The front end on the Sizzler always looked to me like it had come from the Demon MF1. I wonder if PB manufactured the cars for Nick/Demon?

Paul.

One version with horizontal shock mount, and one with vertical mount, who work well.
