So how does this help the buggy champ / rough rider / sand scorcher? Where can you get it? Is there anywhere to buy a ball diff?
I'm almost ready to buy a sand scorcher kit so just want to know what the upgrades are that I should buy

Very good upgrade.
No camber change which should give it better rear grip . Add a diff & you would have transform it.
If I had a B/Champ I would do the same. I bought his Hot Shot metal arm kit and can't fault it. Just heavy.

Any Idea what bumper is good for this?
paulhumgh (eBay) has one for sale for about $30. I can't votes for quality but it looks like an rcchannel product.
