Next few days? It takes me months to finish a project!!! WOW you're fast!!!

What are the bars / rods going from the rear shock tower to the nose brace tube holes? Unless I'm seinfeld something wrong.
Nice worlds starting point!

Looks like when the nose was pushed back the chassis braces were too long and instead of cutting them they were mounted at an angle.

I got an assembly line going :)

this one took 3 days...one to clean, one for the peroxide bath, one to re-assemble:

The bars appear to be an attempt at a chassis stiffener, poor design and heavy, they will be in the recycle pile after teardown.

teardown tonight:

Good:
titanium turnbuckles
A&L stealth tranny machined standoffs
Original MIP CVDs - large "bell"
Hard anno'd shocks are in really good shape under the pounds of dirt
Chassis is really straight and only a couple extra holes
91 RPM suspension arms, poorly dyed black
really slick viper body, custom cooling scoops and window netting, nicely done
RPM gear cover
custom tranny brace - aluminum
"custom" front bumper made from the original buggy nose plate
several Futaba "G" plug receivers
Novak 610 speedo, working
Futaba 131S servo, ears are cut
Kinwald motor (grey can, white label, neon green writing)
all hinge pins are straight & smooth, bearings roll freely
no rusty hardware
2.2 wheels, front and rear, no cracks
RPM bearing steering
RPM 91 front shock tower
possible home made speedo mount, thick acrylic - clear (kinda neat)

Bad:
poor dye job on most the parts
outer section of the chassis has an attempt at polishing
rear bulkhead and battery cup hacked
gold motor plate (stealth) hacked (still useable)
mis-matched steering knuckles
home made fiberglass battery strap
one turnbuckle missing
couple extra holes in the chassis, nothing major

Ugly:
those chassis braces

going slow while I work on current cars, but here is a little update. i passed on powdercoating the chassis and put a few coats of "hammered" krylon black on there. My mind may change, not that happy with the results.

as always, plans change :), was searching for someone to weld up the extra holes in the chassis but struck out a few times, so this project sat while I was pouting about it.

I picked up some motivation to work on this a little and mocked up a "front" tower set up, not completely happy with the camber link set up, so that will be changed, but here it is for now:

Mount the camber link on the front of the caster block and it should line up
