Its Raining Schumacher TopCats lol

Post by nvxwax »

Ok so i know i just sold my new built Topcat. I did not have any other Schumacher cars at the time i had the new Topcat, my OCD just could not take it so i sold it (I have a thing for cars that dont really go with other cars, if i had a 2wd and a 4wd Schumacher i would be ok)

Well as timing has it i got another Topcat from David (Goatless), I thought the car was a lightly used car that i could do a little restore and stick it on the shelf... Well it looks way better then i thought it would, It looks to have been built and never run, The tires are cracked front and rear but the car looks unused. The wheel are painted yellow but look nice, they kinda go with the paint on the body, I did swap out the Kyosho gold shocks for the original TopCat shocks in the rear, But thats all i have done to it. Im not sure i like the decals on the side, i might have to remove them lol

Does anybody know if the original tires are still available? I know the wheels are (Got a set for the new built car that is now at RedScampi's house :)

Thanks guys,

I do get lucky at times, other times i pay out the butt to get what i want lol. I think i will keep this one and track to a Cat to go with it on the shelf. Id also like to find some TopCat decals to add to it :)

You will have to post some pics of your car Paul, When you get it cleaned up.

I don't think it will clean up as good as this one... there's some undisputed wear on mine, but I sure am not complaining either :)

I'm afraid it seems only the rear Spike tyres (T650) are still avaliable - the front two-row studs (T654/5) don't seem to be listed, they must have fairly recently been discontinued as most people seem to have a set in their tyre box even now - despite being 2.15" dia

William, that's another keeper my friend! I was astonished that you let the one I got go. I'm sure all of us here can find you a mate for that car, what did you have in mind?
You know that some Super Clean or maybe Simple Green will take that paint off the wheels if you decide you don't like it.

The fronts you can find easily enough, here's a set on Ebay UK, seller might sell worldwide? : http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/290708474939?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

I still use those tyres to this day with my SV :D Great on grass tracks.

Oh, by the way, very nice Topcat :)

Paul.

If David calls that lightly used I would hate to see what a shelf queen is then.

Very nice score.

Hope that David's move is going well ?
