Hey everyone.

I was looking for a 19T brushed motor to put in the RC10 i'm building, but cannot find any of the ones I know are good. Are there any websites that still sell new brushed motors? If so, which ones are good now-a-days?

Brushed motors in general are a dying breed. Here's one option. You can also keep a close eye on ebay for motor lots. There are still tons of brushed motors out there used.

Team Checkpoint 19t Money motor is the best in my view. You'll have to search hard to find a new one but there are still a few to be had!

will a stock rc10 be able to run a brushless set up?

Yes. Just set it up so it starts mildly an use a lower kv motor. With a six gear a 3900kv or less should be fine.

i run a 19t in my buggy,thats what my track says in the = to the new 17.5 brushless all mine are bright pink trinity chamillians <-sp? as long as you keep them clean and oiled and dont over gear them they are rockets im running a 19/81

Trinity has released a new line of brushed motors - they are called "SpeedGems"; they are available in 15, 16, 17, and 19 turn winds. I got a few of them from Phil's Hobby Shop for $29, each (free shipping over $50).

I haven't run one yet, but they look pretty good quality.

whatever you do stay away from the venom "fireball" series. i have a 19t fireball and it's one of the worst performing motors i have ever used.
a tamiya black can sport tuned would blow it away. in fact the black can is a geat little motor, and last a very long time. i recomend them for most people looking for brushed motors.

Any thoughts on it for a "stock" RC10?

If you're going to race 19t the best option hands down is an epic based 19t (trinity Komodo dragon) with trinity purple med/heavy overhead springs and Finishline F brushes. Properly preped it's the best 19t motor out there. When the cons are on their final cut at about .260 they scream for their last a-main.

I've heard good things about the Komodo's... only problem i've been having is finding one...lol one's bound to show up on a board or ebay someday

I finally ran one of these new Trinity motors, the 17x2 version.

I installed it in a JRX-T; the motor runs pretty good,
definitely strong torque - it will pull wheelies when traction is available.

Top end rpm is not great, but very good for a 17 turn motor.

Best of all, the motor was barely warm after several minutes of running.
