Rooster Reversible Questions

Ok, I picked up a few RC cars the other day. An RC10 and a Losi Truck, they both have full electronics in them. The RC10 is running a Futaba MC 210B speed control with a Futaba FP-R112JE receiver and the Losi has a Rooster Reversible with a Airtronics 3 channel FM receiver. I want to put the Rooster in the RC10 and run it with the Futaba receiver that's already installed. But the plugs are different and the Rooster plug's won't fit the Futaba receiver. I know you can change these plugs out, but I noticed that the wire pattern is different. The Futaba is set up with white, red, black in that order and the Rooster is set up as white, black, red. So my question is are these compatible and does the wire layout make a difference. I don't want to burn anything up, lol...

Thanks Don for that info, I see what you are saying about cutting it down. It looks like the Airtronics just has 3 little nobs on the end that keep it from fitting the Futaba. Think I might file those down and make it fit in the slot instead of changing the ends. I played around with it earlier and i don't get a very tight fit with the wires on the Futaba connector, but they fit the Airtronics connector perfect. Thanks again for the info, it's greatly appreciated.

Ok, I can't seem to make this set up work for some reason. I had to change the pug on the Rooster to make it fit the Futaba receiver and I followed the wiring pattern given, but I get nothing when I plug the ESC into the receiver. When I unplug it from the receiver the LED on the ESC comes on, but when I plug it in, it goes out and I got nothing. Any suggestions?

OK, so drbelleville suggested I call tech support and as it turns out, the wiring diagram shown in their PDF is for an old Airtronics and it has to be wired as white, red, black and not white, black, red. So it's up and running and as soon as I get that shock tower I'll have it road ready :D Thanks again drbelleville for the suggestion, they were great help and very nice at Novak...
