so here is my rc10t

it was really fun for 1 day, but i killed the tranny. i don't know if i am going to try and sell it, or keep it.... i don't know what is wrong with the tranny, but the spur spins, and the outdrives don't.

i did replace 1 rear drivecup/axle, it doesn't look like the otehr side as it has chamfered ends on it, but seems to work ok....

i bought this back in high school, 10 plus years ago, and it sat, until recently, when i tried my setup for my traxxas mini revo in it.... the mini revo is still in pieces, going to get rebuilt, that is my real baby....

here are the pics....

i should open it up and look inside....

would be cheaper to fix it than throw a new tranny at it....

it is the only 1 of my 3 rc's that is close to running......

i do have my daughter's wild fire though... trying to get that going for her again..... its a fast lane rc from toys r us..... it's huge foam tires seperated.... i have used a bottle of CA trying to fix them, and i need another bottle before i think they are good enough for use again

are parts still available for the rc10t tranny? or will i be trying to hunt down, rare, parts on ebay?

A lot of the parts are still available new. The 10T had a first gen Stealth trans - and it went unchanged for a really long time.

Can find an exploded view of the 10T with part numbers here --> http://www.teamassociated.com/pdf/cars_and_trucks/RC10T/Team/10t_old.pdf

Tower Hobbies (amongst others) should have most of those trans parts in stock -

agh! should i fix this thing or try to sell it?

out of my 3 RCs, this is probably the cheapest to fix......

here are my choices, ideally, would liek to do both... but......

the mini revo is my baby.... so that is staying

i have a tmaxx, and suck at gas -- so might keep it, but want to convert it to electric.... maybe

fix the rc10t or sell it... not too attached to it, but would be the cheapest/easiest to do.....

IDE keep the 10t over the mini revo any day. Take apart the trans and see how easy it is to fix and go from there.
