I'm gonna fit a Le Man 240ST to my Raider with a M.Troniks ST350PB ESC and could do with some advice regarding soldering the caps on the motor.
The instructions advise 3 x 100nF 50v caps be added to the motor though I don't know what to ground them to, the old motor had a screw either side of the end where I assume they were grounded before (there is only 1 still fitted) though the Le Man doesn't have these.
Can anyone advise me before I ruin a mint condition motor???

A pic would be helpful. I assume you're going to run it. If it doesn't have 2 screws holding the endbell on, there's nothing else to do except rough up the can and solder them to that. Unless someone knows of a good trick :)

no great trick to that, if the motor is a closed endbell, the best you can do it keep the effective solder area small and near the top, or just leave those caps off, and double up the ones that are across the positive and negative. See if you get radio problems and go from there.

Use a really hot iron so the affected area is small, and usually you can put it on the 'back' side of the motor(by the label seam)
