My first RC, Late Stealth RC10CE #6011

Hello!

I've been reading tons of threads how to modernize 1/4" > 3/16" to fit newer wheels, and decided to start modifying my gold pan.

I've been storing it about 16 years and finally took it on table to see what can i do for it. When i got it ~1996 (i was something like 12 years old), i build it, but also made some mistakes because of my very bad english (haven't got any better since), and also some small parts have losted.

Chassis is stamp C with Stealth transmission, and that's about everything what i know about it =)

I'm planning to use B44 CVD's, RPM RC10GT hubs and self made aluminium rear arms (hinge pin distance from center to center 2.5" , same as worlds and klein?). Planned arms thickness is 6mm, with 5 mounting holes for shocks.

I'll propably do something to front also, but just don't know what.. Also B4 idler on Stealth would be nice?

Feel tell me if something is wrong with my plannings or if there any other questions/advices.

I'll post few pics from project for you =)

you have nearly a exact copy of mine. The late cars seem to be a cluster of whatever they had laying around, that's for sure. Keep posting pictures of progress!

Why all the holes for shock mounting? In reallity, the only holes ever used are the two outer. And of the two, the outer is used most of the time. -Jeff

Finally almost get something done =)

Here's something that i've found for this car:
- cheap brushless ESC bought from eBay, Bullistorm 120A. Don't know how long it's gonna work... only ~$30.
- 8.5T EC Power brushless motor from friend ~$20.
- ordered FS-GT3B controller from eBay ~$40.
- few bodys from friend ~$20.
- cheap hardcase lipo from eBay ~$25.

Currently using B4 stub axles on rear, stock bones and b2/b3 rims. Seems to fit fine, when not too much camber.

Now, there's a pic showing what i got in today's mail =)

Still waiting top shaft, carbide balls and something i even can't remember...

Someday i might get pair of these too...

I am rebuilding a late CE for my buddy right now, only black on the car were the 4 arms, everything else was minty white (which he donated to me for swapping on all black parts  ) Does have the late worlds style gold nose (V shaped, not square like all of mine).

Yep, late CE is a wonderful runner, it's the poor man's world car, basically a worlds car without the teflon shock bodies, UJ's, steering and milled chassis. Here's mine!

I planned to make my own steering from aluminium with ball bearings.
But nobody really knows, if i never get those planned things ready =D

Still need that top shaft and those carbide balls to build that stealth from scratch..
I'll be using only casing, outputs, plastic nut and that long screw from old one..
