Well, I still don't know, but since the whole car is unaltered, I may go the "roots" way: find the four original tires and go "box art" with it. We'll see...

Im working on this Yokie right now, does anyone know the ref # of the original tires? I have the manual and it is not refered to anywhere. I need the four ones, anyone? Pics will be coming soon 8) Also, is there a way to clean the magnesium motor plate? Mine is in awesome shape, but it looks like it has oxidated.

Hey Asso_man,

How is your Yokomo YZ10 Worlds Car coming along?

Bellow are the part numbers you requested for the Worlds Car tires.

TF-510: Yokomo Hotlaps Front Micro-Block Tire

TR-51: Yokomo Hotlaps Rear Micro-Block Tire

Regarding cleaning the magnesium motor mount, the link that templeofspeed provided is very good. Glass Bead Blasting is the most effective way to clean magnesium without removing any material (unlike polishing) from the item.

Hope this helps.

Vin

Thanks for the hint Vin 8) I've just disassembled the front drive train and will promptly clean the old dog. All parts look like totally new, including drive train, CVD's... amazing, the guy built it, ran it once or twice and gave-up, and now that I will soon have a freaking new body, I NEED original tires for dadog

Well, that old dog is now in parts, I'm still amazed by the shape of the car, it's like building a NIB kit without the blisters  The Yokomo plastic is really as smooth as silk and very very well molded. Maybe the best finish I ever came across.

Front drive train has just been rebuilt, now look how the motor plate is oxidated, I'll try to clean it without removing any material...

A few minutes later. Had to use some very fine grit sandpaper to take off some of the stains. A Dremel would be welcome to make it totally clean, but I'm already happy with the result (as I don't have any Dremel, lol).

Hey Jay,
Those wheels look like they use the Tomy system; should fit 1/8 gas wheels straight up.
If you ever want to do away with them, let me know: maybe if the dimensions confirm...

(Tomy Intruder or Adonis, geeh such stupid names, am I recalling that right?)

You mean the rims I guess? These are the ones that originally came with the kit and I think it's the only kit that had them! Must be pretty hard to find I guess... Have you received my PM about the shocks ED?
