cooling fan ?

I'm thinking about adding a cooling fan for my electronics.
Since I have a three channel transmitter I was thinking I could plug a 5v fan right into my reciever and manualy turn it on when My rc10 is upside down or stuck.
This way it can be cooling down while it waits for me to come and put it back on it's wheels.
is this feesable?
What voltage and current am i looking at ?
any advice will be appreciated.
Thanks.

That's exactly what I did with my Barney car. It has a Bullistorm 60A ESC on which the stock fan crapped out--the el-cheapo made-in-China fan was so crappy, it was binding up just trying to spin freely. I removed it, and installed a same-sized Novak fan, which I believe already had a connector on it to attach to my FlySky GT3B receiver.
I don't know why you'd want to manually turn it on/off, though...mine just runs all the time the car is on.

Thanks coelacanth.
I'll look into a Novak fan.
If I can control the fan I will use less battery power and have a longer runtime which is why i want to keep the electrics cooler in the first place.
And why not I have that extra button just sitting there on My controler.
By the way that's really a nice piece of machinery you have there What is it and could i see it with the body?
Thanks.

Thanks J.R., I haven't done the body yet...maybe in a few weeks.

The build thread is in my signature, here's the link:

Does any one know what the s pin on the tq link reciever is?
I'm guessing it means switch , So if i want the fan to come on when I flip the switch on My transmitter do I hook the red wire to + as usual and of course black to - .
Or do I have to hook red to s and black to - .
