Anybody else still have any "Reedy In A Can" motor spray cans? Reedy sold millions of them but surely most were used up quickly and tossed out. I know I only have one left, still has spray left in it! 1928 East Edinger goodness

I have one with a red label! It's new, but sadly only has a little in the can!

Wow, that jarred my memory a bit (no motor bath pun intended). Anyone know if that was a proprietary blend or just a re-brand of another product? Just curious. Either way I was always too poor to buy it when I was younger. I just always used brake cleaner.

I still have a can of Bolink Electro-whirl at my parents house. I used it once. It did a great job cleaning the carbon & dirt out of the motor, but even as a kid I thought the fumes couldn't be good for you. Not sure what exactly the stuff was.

My friend bought a can with his saved up lunch money. WE used up the whole can in one weekend just spraying out every old motor we could find. Even the tamiya motors that we had laying around. It was so fun just to see the black stuff dripping out of a 2 year old grasshopper motor.

I think Reedy In a Can was a conductive fluid used on the line to increase the current passing capabilities of the brush and commutator.... it wasn't used for cleaning if I remember correctly. I could be wrong, but I think it also evaporated quickly forcing us racers to use it as late into the start of the race as possible. Correct me if I'm wrong fast guys.... but I remember spraying that stuff into my motor on the line.

Green = Clean
Red = Fast
And yes, you would need to walk the car to the line with the red after spraying it at the last second. Good times!

I was going to ask you about that..........maybe that was the special Team blend

The big green cans were just for cleaning, the red was a power spray for holeshots.
