Yokomo works 91 dogfighter question
Yokomo works 91 dogfighter question
Hi
I have picked up a works 91 dogfighter and when stripping it down to clean i noticed the front diff housing was broken (metal one), anyway does anyone know the part number so i might find a replacement, or do any other diff housings fit from other yokes, any help would be great.
thanks Mick

ZC-300F and maybe another letter to indicate aluminum but not sure might be a "C",
or maybe "A".
or maybe "A".

Yes definitely aluminum for 91 and 93, didn't mean to confuse just not sure of the letter indicator for aluminum bulkhead. I have a ZC-300FC but can't tell if it is aluminum or not but it does look a little different than the magnesium, just doesn't look like aluminum.Alex B wrote:The bulkheads were changed to Aluminum for the works 91 onwards, the YZ-870c had magnesium bulkheads both are interchangeable.

ZC-300AF for front aluminum and ZC-300AR for the rear, and they are not so easy to finda01butal wrote:ZC-300F and maybe another letter to indicate aluminum but not sure might be a "C",

Re: Yokomo works 91 dogfighter question
Both of my aluminum fronts came with the ZC-300FC on the packaging...But they say for works' 93 on them. Dont know if there was different packaging for the 91 bulkheads.

Re: Yokomo works 91 dogfighter question
Thanks Joe, kind of thought the "C" was the letter code for the 93 and maybe "A" was for the 91.

Re: Yokomo works 91 dogfighter question
Are the rear bulkheads aluminum on the works cars? I have yet to see a factory aluminum rear for sale anywhere

Re: Yokomo works 91 dogfighter question
After the 91 works, aluminum was the norm for this type of bulkhead. As you can see, for the 91 "A" stood for aluminum. No need to mention it for the 93. The 93 used FC for the front, the "C" was used for the 93 works cars.

Re: Yokomo works 91 dogfighter question
Too add a little confusion. I have just dug out the two spare bulkheads that I have. The one on the left has a different profile where the shock tower mounts to the one on the right. The left one is also 1g lighter according to my super accurate crack dealer scales.
The one on the left came off my works 93 which now has a nylon bulkhead. I can't be sure if it has been hand finished at a later date.
