anyone come across a yellow paint that will somewhat match the colour of the losi xx yellow wheels?? Any boxart pictures show wheels as a yellow but in reality they are more on the neon side of yellow??.
Or has anyone had luck painting wheels? how does it last??

I use neon yellow backed with white you have to do tryal on scrap to see how many coats of yellow

Who makes a neon yellow Rick?? I have 2 different basic yellows and 2 different pearl yellows and none of them are even remotely close.

I didnt use the waterbase? if you cant get the paint, let me know I will order it and ship it to you

Thanks a ton Rick but I "should" be ok from here I just placed an order.

Problem being I already shot the black in water based acrylc and the blue and white are the same.
With some practice on coats and backing I hope to get this close. If anything we will find out how the fascolor flor. yellow looks

I ordered that 2nd body from you based on my nerves on screwing this one up

Rereading the thread I failed to add that the yellow you suggested I couldnt get (hobby shops cant get florecents ATM backorder) and was suggested that I dont shoot it over waterbase anyways, so I decided to go with the same brand in Florecent yellow.

This project started out as a boxart build, but the more research I did of the actual cars Kinwald drove, every body seemed to be slightly different in small ways. So I made the decision to do my own spin on the kinwald. There are 1 1/2 opp's I wish I could take back but thats how a rookie painter learns . Now if I ever get the nerve to cut the decal sheet Ill post pics of them too........

Yes I need two nice blue front wheel nuts, the originals were hacked all up.
