better than i feared worse than i hoped
Finished my black widow rc10 body. I sprayed on several light and I do mean light coats with the black there was no bleed through on the pinstriping but as I went the tape seemed to srhink a little bit and the inside corners pulled up and I got overspray under those areas by the time I caught it it was to late so the lines dissapear on a lot of the corners. I will use a diffrent masking material next time. Other than that I love how it turned out with the brighter metallic red on metallic black. Ok enough talk time for pics

Looks great.
you should call it the widow maker.
When i did mine the same thing happened with my flame mask its like the laquer shrunk it a bit.
But mine only lifted a bit on ann edge and i touched it up.

Doesn't look bad from here, you should've seen my first "candy" attempt haha
As for paint masking material, I've never had much luck with paint masks unless I used a heat gun to REALLY seal the edges. You probably don't have a heat gun, but you could try a hair dryer to accomplish the same thing.

Re: better than i feared worse than i hoped
Thanks for the complements! It has been refered to as the "widow"or the spiderman car by my daughters. I haven't had the time to finish trimming it for the shock towers. My first candy paint job was my first hobby rc. So you can imagine how that turned out lol. All in all I. Do really like how it turned out. This is the first paint job I have done since 2004. When I build me a runner rc10 I think that this body will go on it and I will try to do a better job for the shelf queen "widow". And I will keep the heat gun/blow dryer in mind
