Oh forgot to ask what should I be on the look out for with this? Not asking if I should buy it really. Just want to know about weak points in these that I should look for when I look at the car

The gold shocks alone are probably worth $40. If you're still hmm'ing and haw'ing by Tuesday, that car will be gone. :)

$40 for a rtr,or fully rtr but not running type deal is a no brainer. Hell, even Scr8p would buy it for that! Don't think about it just get it. Once you got it you can ask questions. If you don't get the answers you like you can always turn it back over for your money back or a small profit depending on how fast you need the money back. No Go get it

Theb question for me is not if I plan on buying it but if the current owner either answers me or does not sell it to someone else. The decision was made to buy as soon as I saw it and the price.
Right now I seem to be the only one in my area buying vintage rc cars and projects so I seem to have that in my favor. That is how I got a Pede, Tl01, rustler, Firestorm, and the red rc10 all for a combined total of $45.00.
My indecision cost me 2 traxxas hawks already so if at all possible the optima is not slipping through my fingers

Looks like I missed out on it. No reply from the seller and he took down the ad. Kinda sad now

I kinda figured that it wouldn't be around long...sorry to hear you missed out, but another opportunity will come. A Turbo Optima for $40, though...maybe not so soon. :?

I will get one one day. I have always wanted one since I was little and a neighbor had one running it around. That was actually the first rc I ever drove. That's why I said I wasn't asking if I should buy it.
