this thing is wide! anyone order one yet? i'm a fan of the mid motor rigs. this losi is really going to stir things up for trucks. it's good to see the class getting a shot in the arm.

I'm not sure if it's that wide, or just because of the look of the width versus the thinner chassis but that sure does look WIDE!!!

I'm still running XX's and XXX's LOL. Eventually I'll get a 22. But as sad as it sounds, the XX is becoming my favorite race platform (even for todays buggies).

I've got one on order, since it was officially anounced. I've got a 22 and I am very happy with that, I love trucks, so had to have one, even though we dont race them over here.

It does mean that my XXXT-CR will get less use, but I love that too so cant bring myself to part with it. It may end up on my shelf with my XXT's!

i kinda figured that you losi guys that are still running your old rigs would jump on board with the new one. it's about time for you guys. i still see the xxx's and even some xx's on track. doing very good in some cases.

like i said, this is a shot in the arm for the class. it's really going to make things interesting. next year is going to be a wild one.

x-factory even has a new 4wd rig coming out. yokomo with a new 2wd buggy. and the electronics department is getting better as well.

I will probably be getting one around March, right before the new JBRL season (and birthday time). I can build it and hang it on the wall next to my LXT :)

I'm probably not the right guy to comment here as I'm not into truggies or Losis, but it looks goofy to me. The arms seem way too long in proportion to the body's width. I understand that the extra track width makes for better handling & cornering but some of these truggies are beyond ridiculous when it comes to appearance. No real vehicle looks like this and slapping a body onto a chassis like this seems a moot point. :?

Sorry, just being a grumpy old man. :P

awesome. its hard when i go racing, i bring the gold pan & b4, then the JRX & 22...4 buggies, but only 1 driver.

the 22 is so easy to drive, jrx is my second favorite (but it is getting the most attention). for outdoor bluegroove, i do like the goldpan, but havent had a chance to throw the jrx down in those conditions. the b4 i let my son drive 99% of the time, only if i break everything else will i drive it

I am excited for the 22T, it has been a long time since I drove stadium truck, I kinda miss it. Drove the boy's T4 the other day, it really made me want a new truck even more.

Keep in mind these are "racing monster trucks." Somewhere along the way they became known as stadium trucks. Truggies are a whole other ball of wax and never had an identity in R/C, hence the name (though truggies in the desert world are typically live axle, buggy like, front engine vehicles). So, back to the original name these were marketed under, with the exception of the extremely low profile bodies you see today, they still "resemble" the likes of monster trucks with the wide wheel track, large shocks, and large tires/wheels.

I consider anything that has a body with wheel-wells that serve no actual purpose, because the oversized muffin-tires stick out way beyond them anyway, a "truggy". A truck, IMHO, has a body with tires flush with or inside the wheel-wells, and therefore still looks like a truck.

Hehehe!

But this is how the ST class has been since way-back-when...the JRXT had very small wheel arches, after that they were pretty much removed, in the pursuit of performance I suppose.

Its funny as the key things you describe that you dont like, are the key things I do like! As the saying goes - each to their own :D

I know am biased because I am a Losi man through and through, but I like the new aggressive styling of the body, and the fact its not a true cab-forward stlye (that **** for that!)

I dont care that it doesn't look like anything large scale - has any racing buggy since the late 80's looked like a full scale buggy? The early RC10's and Tamiyas did, but the 1/10th class has evolved by itself..I guess thats why the SCT class is so popular now, because they look like real trucks.

I gotta admit though, is it stadium truck or a truggy!? Its seems an 1/8th scale buggy with big wheels and long arms is a truggy, but a 1/10th scale of the same is a stadium truck....

The "stadium truck" evolved from this:

For anyone that remember the old Mickey Thompson series, this is what we remember as a stadium truck:

But, that has become short course. Both were run in a stadium so I guess that is why it stuck.

Oh, this is the Herbst "truggy" for anyone that cares. They pretty much put the things on the map.
