Say, I've got an old Datsun 10 from the 80s. It was originally a nitro powered truck, but we converted it to electric last spring and ran it that way until we broke a few teeth in the gearbox. I've seen VERY little about this thing on the internet. Anybody here familiar with them?

Are you referring to the nitro version of the Kyosho "Chevrolet pick-up 4x4" truck? The one with the metal frame rails? There was also a plastic tub version Datsun I think as well.

Yep, the nitro version of the Chevy, with the metal frame rails. I always thought the Chevy looked really cool back in the day, too. I've seen a little bit here and there on the Chevy on line, but very little about the Datsun 10. I think somebody somewhere posted the old ad for it as seen in Tower Hobbies back in the day, but that's about it.

Its almost the same car as the Jeep Indiana?

Yeah I'd say the only difference more or less is the body.

Same chassis and suspension, but the drive train is different. The Datsun 10 had a 0.10 nitro engine in it. My brother and I picked one up used in the early 90s that had been used quite heavily. Ours had what I believe is an OS CZ-1 0.12 nitro engine, but I'm no engine expert by any means. We never got the engine to run well, and it sat for the last 20 years or so before my son and I got it out last spring and converted it to electric.
