Hey guys, I scored this one a few weeks ago for a pretty good price, I just couldn't resist even though I already have a never run early Edinger (see here) and a few other partial cars. While both cars were most definitely produced at the Edinger facility, there are some differences that once again tend to prove that the production there was not really consistent when coming to details and part design changes/modifications. For example you can see that #1 (which I beleive is a later version than #2, mainly because #1 has a Cadillac manual, ball cups with hex portions, no clip inside the tranny...) has rear Goodyear tires while #2 has no Goodyear tires at all, which means that the tires are not a good markup to tell the earliness of an Edinger car. As a result, I think it is better to rely and focus on real enhancements that were brought to the car (nut or clip inside the tranny, rear box art or solid spring cups, ball cups with or without hex portions, addresses of manual and box) rather than for example tire differences (presence or not of a Goodyear logo). Here is a quick comparison (fields in blue differ between the two versions):

Sorry I meant "cut", was too busy trying to align the right column of the comparison, which I gave up at some point. I would like to be able to draw tables in the threads but need to study the codes...

Thank you Reggie, I have been looking for a really early car in such condition for quite a long time indeed and am always amazed to be able to find these 25+ years old cars in so nice shape. Now on the hunt for an early one with GRP battery straps

Thank you Paul! Yes this is the thick version. I also noticed the rear body mount is of a different shape than the later versions with a sorta long tip, anyone ever noticed that?

So I recently found a beautiful set of early Tecnacraft and after some thought I decided they would best fit on this early Edinger chassis.
The rims are almost perfect but badly deserved a quick polish, which they got
Front are 2 pieces, rear are three pieces. They now look like true jewellery.
I’ll grab this occasion to go through the car and mount all the parts that have reamained in their ‘84ish packs like battery trays, servo and antenna mounts. I also plan to install period electronics so stay tuned

While not the same, the Pargu wheels look killer, are fairly cheap, and readily available

Pargu wheels are nice, but they do not make your heart beat as fast as when holding a genuine set of Tecna's. Quality doesn't compare really and they do come with more $ and patience indeed.
I've been looking for this very set for years until I found one for sale recently.

(Note: all broken links have been fixed in this thread at least)
