Hi, i'm reading here for quite a while now and it seems i have a rather exclusive car. It is the Works '91 in pretty good condition. I also have the Asso grey shocks and some spareparts. I did not touch it for about 15 years. Recently i started the hobby for the second time and dusted my old cars off (i also have a RC10 Team Car). I was planning to race (again) the Yokomo untill i found this site.

What to do? Sell or keep it? I live in the Netherlands and have no or little experience in selling through the Internet.

Okay, okay... got some pictures for you.

This is after cleaning up, the shocks are the originals and just for display (now). The tires are the left overs from 15 years ago, at that moment i thought on-road was way cooler. The ESC is not the one i raced with, nor the motor. I had (and even have) a Novak ESC and Reedy motor's. I transferred those to my RC10, which i'm want to convert to brushless.

I really don't know if i ever want to "race" the Works '91 again. It was (and is i think) one of the best cars i have ever owned. But nowadays with al the brushless violence (which is to overcome) and the fine pitch belt (which was fine, but i have only one left and only the front one) i don't think i'm can keep up with the others.

At this moment i don't have a whole lot of spare time, also i want to convert my RC10 first and when thing are not enough i also bought an SCRT10 which i want to race next season. Well not really race, i'm a bit rusty so let's call it practice.

I can understand your reasons for not wanting to run it - but it would be a shame to sell it, given that you say that it was the best car that you've ever owned

Those tyres are the Schumacher road & track tyres.... I brought a pair old Losis from Holland with the same tyres... I thought that it was rather odd perhaps they were used as some kind of control tyre in a Dutch race series???

The tires are indeed from Schumacher, they barely fit on the rims. Am i correct if i say the tires are 2.1" and the rims are 2.2"? I don't remember exactly why, but i think i bought them because i wanted to start on-road driving. Since that did not work very well with the Yokomo and those tires, i bought a RC10 conversion kit. The tires on the pictures are not in grate shape, but will do for the time being. Don't know if they where standard in those days but my lhs had those lying around.

I'm thinking about keeping the car and restoring it back to the state i have had it in my racing days. I don't need the money, at least not for now.

This means the AE shocks will be mounted again, the Novak 410-M1c, the KoPropo PS1001FET "high speed" servo and a Reedy Mr. ?? motor. Fit a nice 2,4Ghz TX/RX (no glitches i hope ) Find some good NiMh battery's and take it to the track. See if i can keep up with the newer 4wd buggy's.

I need some parts though, the ball ends are worn out so they have a lot of play. Does someone know if they are still available?

And maybe a slipper clutch or 3mm belt conversion?

Whatever you do with the yokomo, make sure you get your RC10 ready for 18 December and join the vintage class at MAC Vlijmen.
It's not a huge event, but fun and there aren't really many places/times clubs set up a vintage, so you take what you can get.

yes that's a very nice example, correct tire's should be easy to find

I have the correct wheels and off-road tires lying around, so that's not an issue

Still investigating if i will restore it to racing conditions and if so it will be taken to the track (not for competition but for fun).
