M03 Mini Cooper racing help
my local hobby shop has put in an indoor carpet track. (oval)
i'm going to run my m03 mini cooper there but i'd like to run another class.
the main class is 1/16 traxxas rally open. i'd like to run something in that class.
it's open so anything close in size can run, and i don't care for traxxas and prefer to be different anyway.
i know absolutley nothing about onroad, so i'm looking for some help.
are there any other brands that make a car close in size thats 4wd? the rc18r is kind of close but i was wondering if any of you had an opionon or suggestion.
thanks, internet searching has brought up alot of toy grade cars.

Are the HPI Cup Racers roughly 1/16?

Re: M03 Mini Cooper racing help
The rc18t I have is noticeably smaller than the 1/16 scale traxxas runners at the LHS I run at. By no means am I slower though
.
One of the guys at a track a little further away has an rc18mt that he modded tc wheels to and did some fabrication to some body mounts and mounted some funky body to and it looks pretty good next to the 1/16 traxxas guys. Problem is they are whining since he puts them in the dust and they cry foul because his is 'modded'
. Its all what you want to run I guess. You can get some pretty good deals on the rc18 livery and its not much to add some 'beef'. I have around $120 in my brushless rc18t I used to run without radio.

You should get some video. Sounds like a fun class.
