I couldn't resist getting the new Mini Z Optima Buggy. Here is a photo of the brothers lined up from shortest to tallest.

Very nice indeed! I love the repetition of the box-art colours throughout. Btw - any tips on how to paint the 1:10 box-art? It is a task which is set before me at some point and I need all the help I can get with it....

The one in the picture was my test - I still have one from Marwan that I have yet to paint. I used the blue 3m painters masking tape and Tamiya spray paints. I wasn't happy with the amount of overspray and bleeding that I got. Anything that is black isn't paint, but vinyl. I used electrical tape and Kyosho micron line tapes.
The next one I am going to use liquid mask I think. I may experiment with plastidip paint at some point. I have a theory that it will be like paint and liquid mask at the same time. Not sure how it will adhere to the lexan though, and if it will come off cleanly and also look decent. Plastidip also has a mix-you-own color thing that I think I can use to make a blue that matches better than the Tamiya color.
See my other post regarding the box art decals that I made.
