OK most of the time I'm an all vintage guy. But last week I no longer could resist. So I bought a HPI Baja 5b. Man this thing is a blast! But as always I could not resist. Buying all the bling Aluminum this and that. How many of you guys get caught up in this?

Obviously it's not just you! It gets worse when you get all that bling aluminum and get it anodized your own colors!

It gets worse than that! You buy all the aluminum bling, but need more, requiring you to enlist the services of a machine shop. Then you figure, why not be totally unique, and have the shop custom make all the fasteners from titanium. By this time, you're into it so deep, you not only get it custom anodized, you have HPI do a one-off body for you with a custom paint scheme. Just as you get it perfect, you take it out for it's maiden run and wrap it around a fire hydrant. Guess it's time for a new ride!
