I came across an ad on craigslist that I couldn't beat. A bag full of R/C stuff, take all or get nothing - all for free.

Having literally just sold a Bolink eliminator chassis that I bought new in 1990, which I last used in 1996 that had been sitting in my garage, I took this as a sign that I needed to look into R/C cars again. Oddly enough, I just bought my son his first R/C car. I convinced the wife that Toys R Us is not the place to buy and looked up Tower Hobbies. The last time I bought something from them there was no such thing as the internet.

Inside this wonderful bag was a complete Futuba magnum controller, 2 electric chargers, 5 electric brushed motors a bunch of misc. items and a novak ESC. Also inside was an RC10 buggy chassis, and this Team associated graphite road car. It looks to be 1/10, but I can't see to find any info on it.

Can someone help a guy out with an ID? Thanks!

That appears to be a graphite RC10 Team Car that has had the right side of the chassis removed. It also has a McAllister lowering kit and has the Stealth tranny reversed for a mid-motor setup. It also has Hogue bellcrank steering and either RCPS or Lunsford titanium turnbuckles.

I agree that for free you can't beat the deal, even if I have no idea what I have.

How hard would it be to change this back into a buggy? I live on 14 acres and really have no use for a road car. It would be great to get this back running and have to use with my boys.


Anyone interested in trading for a buggy chassis? You can have everything you see but the servo.

It's still a buggy, you just need to take the lowering kit off and slap on some standard shock towers and put it back to rear motor

What kind of condition is the right side of the chassis in where the cut was made? Just curious how it held up over the years. Nice score!

That's what is odd. The "cut" area is perfect, which is why I was thrown off.

Since I have no clue, what all would the "reconversion" entail. I don't need someone to hold my hand, and I tried to search with little luck, but if someone knows what parts I might need, I would be grateful.

need to remove the front shock 'tower' that little thing the tops of the shocks attach to, also remove the little nylon blocks on the front arms and reattach the shocks where those blocks were. remove the same in the rear. unbolt the trans and bulkhead and flip it around, this part is a little tricky, you have to disassemble the trans and switch the top shaft location so that it looks like a standard buggy setup, bolt the trans and bulkhead back down, add buggy front and rear shocks towers, and any other misc things that might be missing. you will need buggy rear shocks, as the pair in the rear will then be too short. that should be it.

and there will be a bunch of manuals, pick one with a stealth trans and follow that for the trans assembly.

the manual will give you pictures of everything you need. You might be better off disassembling the whole car, cleaning it up, and then following the manual for assembly, getting the parts you need as you go.

save all the lowering kit parts, you can sell it for a decent price and offset the cost of any parts you need. search here on 'mccallister lowering kit' on here and you will see what the kit includes.

once you get started and have questions, post up and the board will give you the answers you need.

So yesterday I took the front lower shock mounts off of this car and used them to replace the missing ones that were already on the other buggy that came with this mystery bag. I also robbed a few other parts off of it like the rear sprocket attachment that attaches to the transmission.

My next goal is to track down the rest of the parts to raise this car back up. I've looked at the McAllister kit and can't really see what was changed.

There's always an ass who thinks he's the top dog to say it all here, but not him. That's for sure. Proved him wrong on tires.
