Here's something you don't see every day

Hey, I'm no Tamiya fan, but these wheels caught my eye, as did the vintage Trinity Speed Gems 2 motor. It turns out these gold-plated Hotshot wheels are rare as hell and probably worth their weight in real gold. 8) I probably couldn't forgive myself for running them with adapters on one of my Optimas so I'll probably sell them.

Can anyone give me any info on the Trinity motor? Looks like a pretty stock 540 can to me, but a bit of research seems to indicate it's quite a beast.

The speed gems were Trinity machine wound mods, they had colored cans and endbells. That motor had to have been placed in there and re sealed, or is a factory goof.

LOL That would make sense, it looked like a plain ole Mabuchi to me! Oh well, the grease totally made this a score and a half!

I would have to agree the stock motor was placed in the package after someone installed the trinity motor in their car.

Those wheels are indeed very rare, where did you find those? Highly sought after those
