My graphite build.

I started off with a pretty decent graphite chassis from fleabay.not beat up but two mystery holes in the nose(bolted a 10t bumper to 'em).I have a pretty beat CE laying around I got in trade, stripped it down and found the tub was bent front and rear.Well pulled all the parts off of it,scrubbed reall good in simple green and gave everything a nice peroxide bath with a 45w uv light on 'em. turned out reall good.really no new parts except the servo mounts, screws and ballcups. The wheels I tried cleaning, they had been spray painted green. Nail polish could not do the job.Grabbed some acetone and all paint fell off. wheels have green tint to them though, not all the way through just on some edges.I don't plan on running this,I really don't want to end up splitting such a nice chassis. I modified a gt rear bumper to fit, looks kinda cool. Still waiting on some parts to finish it rear bulkhead is just a mockup.I never seem to be able to get a 10 with a white bulkhead that is not butchered. The rear arms have no droop at all,They hit the chassis.I do have set of black Andy's arms I'm debating on using and a set of old black proline wheels to stick on here.Well here's the start more to come. :D

Nice cf build, by the way this is similar to the one I'm building right now, I'm just a bit slow.

Looks nice :)
I just picked up a graphite and it's missing the rear bumper, so would be interested in some more details on how you modified the GT rear bumper to fit :D

if it's a 6 gear graphite, it's not missing. they didn't come in the kit. only the graphite team car had them right out of the box.

the GT bumper drops right on the existing holes, but you have to put a groove in the plastic slightly right under the motor plate, it's a bit thicker there and the motor plate edge interferes. couple minutes with a dremel, and it fits nicely.

Thanks guys.
It has the stealth, but looking at the bottom I think it started life with a 6 gear as the screws could use a little more countersinking. The holes are there for the bumper, so hope they are in the right place too!

Scr8p, I'm tempted to modify the front of the chassis like you did on your build to run the 10T front bulkhead. Would you have any advice for that mod (other than the age old 'measure twice, cut once!)

the holes for the motor guard were there from the factory. they just didn't include it with the 6 gear kit.

other than making sure the new bulkhead holes are in the right spot, there's not much i can really add to "measure twice, cut once". what needs to be done is pretty straight forward.

Thanks scr8p, if I can get it looking half as good as Kayne's I'll be happy!
