Well, if this keeps going, we'll need a forum just for A&L's. What is there to say, I personally think it is the greatest conversion for the RC10 (don't tell my dually I said that). Way to go Mr. Lane.

I know, I suck at photography. Here are the detail: T

The motor is a B&R off-road modified 19x1, the tranny has all balls and the metal idlers, ESC is a Novak 1x, Litesink motor mount, the rear rims are aluminum outers and the fronts I had new in the package, but busted them out to try to compliment the back. The rims I wanted to use (MIPs) would not fit the back. Once I am done modding them, the tires and rims will change. But the fronts are my favorite knobbies and they are brand spanky. I taped everything down that did not have a mounting hole. Chassis in perfect. I still have a few details, the mount has to be cut so the tranny brace/motor protector can be mounted. The tranny case is temporary. One day, I will come across another perfect white 6 gear.

There are other details but I have rambled on.

did you screw the antenna mount to the rx case from the inside or are you really good at balancing?

It's all in the hips. No I popped the top and tapped through the cover, just next to 2 big caps and bolted it in. I just could not bring myself to put a hole in that chassis.

It's so cool to see the B&R motor on there. That is the motor we had to use when I raced back in like 90'-91'. We had 17 turn motors though. I still have a couple but they are plain worn out. Great lookin car BTW.

Thanks. I picked this motor up on the bay for $10. The only soldering done to it when I got it was the resistors. I would bet it had never been used. I'll have to fire it up once or twice though just to hear that all metal 6 gear whine.

Fantastic work. I like it. Did you use titanium turnbuckles up front? I used to have that same B&R motor. I lent it too my brother, then someone stole it from him. That was a pretty good little motor.

I don't know much about period correctness but to me this one looks the most authentic of all the A&Ls I have seen, I think it's the white parts that does it.

they look like Ti Tecnacraft turnbuckles, veddy nice, my favourites with the old style Lunsford.

Thanks guys for the comments. One thinng I was worried about was the HUGE rpm ball cups. But they are just sooo sweet looking, I had to use them. I let a set of aluminum front rims that match the back get away today. Maybe next time. I post some more pics when I get the top done and finish the rest.
