Graphite Blank

Hey guys ... curious to know if any one has run across a supplier for blank graphite boards. I have a couple parts that I have to make as they're the dreaded NLA. I could always use G10 or carbon fiber, but I'd like to stay true to the original material if possible.

Thanks!
Brian

yah, I found those guys for cf. Best prices around in the thicknesses RC parts are made of. I'm hoping someone has found a place for graphite blanks. I've had none.

I'm looking for graphite flat blanks, like you'd use to make a chassis or shock towers. I have a chassis stiffener plate that is broken and needs to be replaced. I did see some graphite plates, but I don't think that's quite right.

Thanks for the links!

I have a few contacts for real graphite/carbon sheet, but today's technology is almost only woven fiber. The strength to thickness ratio compared to the stuff we're seeking is 10x greater.

We all want to find carbon that mimics the plain, dark grey stuff that Composite Craft and others used way back when. The two are really different. It's amazing. I have a contemporary 12th chassis that is 2mm (.078) thick that is a quasi-isotropic graphite and it's stiffer than any 3mm (.118") graphite sheet from 15 years ago in EVERY flex direction.

I picked up a Composite Craft .110" sheet with a RC10 20° kick in it last week for a potential replication project, but it was more of a preventative purchase more than anything else. Sheets do pop up on eBay every once in a while, but I haven't found a good source of the older style graphite sheet that I'd love to have more of.

Thanks guys. Looks like you found the same stuff I did! Guess I'll go with carbon fiber until some "vintage" graphite sheet shows up on ebay.

huh, guess I missed that! Thanks for the heads up (and repeating your previous post since I didn't pay attention the first time!).
