Is it possible to mount Traxxas wheels on the RC10?

I'm guessing you need to have the B4 rear axles to do it and a hex adapter maybe? Just wondering as I'd love to mount these on my goldpan:

The Traxxas front wheels use pins just like the rear axles do so they won't work unless you also try to adapt Traxxas hubs to your car. I don't know how easy this is though or what the offset would be even if it did work.
At the rear the offset is different than the RC10 wheels. They are a bit inward of the RC10 wheels but not by much. You could get away with Dominator rear spacers. However the problem for them comes from the wheel shape. Traxxas uses a special nut that uses a very small socket so while you may get a standard nut on the axle, the bore in the wheels is barely larger than the nut meaning you can't get a socket in to tighten it. You might think the solution is to use the Traxxas nuts but their thread is different. I already tried!

Well that sucks! Ah well, it was just a thought as I like a lot of their wheels that are pre-glued and mounted.

the front wheels aren't 12mm hex?

nope. They are a pin drive. The bearings ride in the steering knuckles and the spindle spins.

yes, I've seen the spindles and hubs, I just never knew those wheels were pin drive. Seems like it's easier to drill them out for bearings then, the hang up with that is usually the big hollow for the hex. I bet if you drilled it out accurately with a 5/16" drill you can stick bearings in it, and get on down the road.
how much would you think the rear offset difference is? Oh, and you might be able to use a small pattern nut on the #8 thread.

I thought of the same thing with my B44...essentially a B4, T4, etc except with 3/8" drive axles on all 4's.
I wanted bigger wheels than the normal 2.2" wheels I had from my 10T.
If you're not sure how to do this, look at this thread:
http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=8848
All you need are 12mm hex adapters for the hubs and use any Traxxas 2.8" wheels and tires for the Stampede or Rustler.
Not sure about fitment on your rc10 because of the shorter arms (I converted my B44 to a truggy using T4 arms).
Here are some pics with a GT2 body I had laying around, which luckily was a perfect fit with the stock mounting holes.
Here's what it looked like before:

Lol yeah it's just a basher cuz I wanted a 4wd without paying the high price of a monster truck...I already have a vintage 10T, T3 and T4...all rwd as you know.
It's really fun especially after I changed it to use a 3s by mounting the battery to sit on top of the top chassis in the middle instead of using a 2s saddle pack.

So with the 12mm hex adaptors, could I in theory run say the Traxxas 2.2" already mounted wheels and tires?
If that's all you did, I might be willing to spend to the dough to try this.
I had my eyes on this set:

I know you have a buggy and want to stick with similar sized wheels and tires with the bandit, but Tower Hobbies doesn't say anything about bandit wheels using 12mm hex. they might even be just pins, like your rc10...but you'd have to do the research.
I'd suggest getting the wheels and try to see if they fit using the pins you've got. If you can't make it work, then maybe you can get the b4 axles as you mentioned in your first post.
after you do that, then all you need to do is buy the hpi hex adapters (mentioned in the post I included above).
again, depending on the wheels, you may or may not have to remove the circled part in yellow to make them fit flush...you'll see when you get them (i had to for mine). i don't remember if i had to drill the holes in the center of the hex adapters to make them slightly bigger to fit on 1/4" axles back when i had them on my 10T. if you do, it's not a big deal.
lastly, for the fronts, i can't help you on that one...i never had to put fronts on my b44, just 4 rears.
you'll have follow the suggestions of the posts mentioned from other members earlier in this thread.

Has anyone attempted to get the front Traxxas Bandit wheels to fit by performing the DS touring car wheel mod to a buggy?

the bandit wheels are not hex drive in front. They are pin drive. You would have to adapt the whole c-hub and bearing carrier to get them to work. Not saying it can't be done though...

Leave the Traxxas hex hub off and you'd have a pin drive on the front axle.
Could probably do the same with an SC10 knuckle set up. There's a pin drive underneath that hex hub as well.
