RC10T top shaft nut removal

I am having a problem getting the nut off the top shaft so I can see what I can do about it slipping.

Take the diff case about and try to hold the top shaft from spinning. The top shaft gear may have sliped on the shaft. Or if it is just rusted on try WD-40.
