Chassis stamp

I have a nice rc10 with a 6 gear tansmission. How do you know what stamp it is? A or B I have know clue. Thanks!

if it's stamped it will be on the chassis under the motor.

the stamp is really just a revision code, therefore, a rough date code, so it doesn't make one more valuable than another unless it is in mint condition, and if a guy needs an A stamp to complete a build, it will be worth more to him. Likewise, if I guy need a 'B' stamp in order to complete a build, it's worth more to him than an A.

Since the 'earliest' version of things is usually the most desirable in most collector cases, then it stands to reason the 'A' version might have more value in pristine condition.

there are also even earlier chassis' that had no stamp.

My A-stamp was under the transmission, top side of the pan. Not sure if that's an error or denotes a specific production location :?

How old is the chassis with no stamp? Year?

1984 was the non stamped cars, and there were very few- also some cars are stamped from the bottom of the chassis instead if the top :wink:

Thanks for the info. I think i have one with no stamp so it should be an early one bought it quite a while back already.. Didn't know anything about the stamp chassis. I just know it was rc10 like the one i sold a long time ago
