Dying a RPM worlds car?

I've got a worlds car that has been dyed dark blue. If I dye it black with Rit, will it cover up the blue ok?

This will be my first time dying parts. From what I've read I should bring the water almost to a boil, then put the parts in, and then wait till in turns the disired color (this time black) and take the parts out. Does this sound about right?

The black will cover everything just make sure you degrease that thing. The procedure you describe will work good. My advice is if your BBQ has a burner then do it outside. As the dye steams off in your kitchen, so will the dye.
