These are the last three unassembled competitive kits that Traxxas made before they switched over to RTR.

The traxxas nitro 4-tec pro, SRT and TCP.

Enjoy the pics comment if you have any questions…

Isn't the revo a race-worthy chassis then?

Ya the revo is defiantly a race worthy chassis especially the 2008 platinum edition. I think I would have bought it if it came as an unassembled kit. I really enjoy the process of building the car from the ground up. To me the buildup is one of the most exciting and fun aspects of this hobby!

That is a very nice collection. They all look like they were never ever driven.

I have a Hawk,two Bullets,a Hawk2 and I just got a Blue Eagle roller a couple of weeks ago.

The RTR thing never bothered me,I tear them right down and start from a pile of loose parts. When I'm done,I know every nut bolt and screw, just like it was assembled from a kit.

And the same thing goes for all three of my E-Maxx[s] and my wife and daughter's Es as well. Rebuilding them and maintaining them is half the fun forme.

thanks for the comment, nice find on the blue eagle roller! If i could find a new in box trx1, ls2, or blue eagle i would probably buy and build up. last year all three cars were stripped down and cleaned up,probably why they look like they have never been driven. right now i might get the srt back on track with new electronics if budget permits...

nice trio :)

SRT and TCP were definitely competitive to some reasonable extent. So were the TRX-1 and TRX-3.

I'd be less categoric on the n4tec though (let alone the 4tec) - this is where Traxxas started getting all about weird marketing claims (topspeed... "ready to race"... peudo hi-tech names for long-existed technical solutions) instead of racing. All the 4tec and n4tecs I've seen at the tracks I was racing touring car at were doing poorly, even more so as the n4tec was of the 1st gen nitro touring cars which were really quickly made obsolete but the technological whirl that ruled that class all the way to 2006/2007...

I would say the nitro 4tec pro was the last unassembled kit Traxxas made that was designed for the racer. The rtr nitro 4tec was not designed as a racer rather as a basher. The nitro 4tec pro is only good in the hands of an experienced driver who knows a lot about track setup. Remember driver Steve Slayden finished 3rd with this car in the ROAR on road fuel nats A main. I have attached a link for the article RC Car Action did about his ride, defiantly worth a read.
