Hi.

I have a JRX2 that has a shot gearbox.

Does the Lxt Rero gearbox fit in and if so what drive shafts. Do xx shafts fit??????

Any Advice please?????

The transmission case will fit.
The XX driveshafts may fit, depends on the hubs length from transmission. JRX2 has those different hubs due to the 5link suspension. You can aslo use the molded diff halves on the retrofit and then use the sliders already on the jrx2.
The molded ones are a3095. You can find them on eBay or Oldrc.com. Oldrc.com looks to be more expensive right now.

If you already have the XX transmission in hand, I would go the molded route. It is a lighter setup.

Oh forgot one big thing, to fit the transmission you have to do the step in the instructions about grinding a spot in the chassis. You have to put a small indentation in the chassis for the bottom of the gearbox. i have done one and they are not hard, but it takes time to do it right.

There's one more option and that's to use the sliders. The retro fit gearbox has the outdrives for the dog bones, but there are parts to convert it to the slider set up. Sliders are pretty easy to find...and you even use the traxxas parts (with little modification)

Was there ever a "XX" version of the Pro SE? I got uni's with my "XX" LXT but I never had the XX tranny in a buggy.

Maybe the XX buggy uni's fit?

I think highway is right. Slider out drives are probably the way to go. That way when you want to put the LRM back in you dont have to change the axles too. Just plug and play.

Not to be jerk, but what the heck?
I put in my first post the part number for the molded outdrives, which are really molded diff halves. Did anyone read it? Sheeesh!
They work on the retrofit and the standard XX. a3095

I think I might be losing it now.
