I have seen alot of threads on here where guys are trying to figure out what cvds to use. Between the stock arms, wide arms, klien/worlds arms and all the different hubs it seems like a lot of trial and error. Heres what seems like it would be the simplest. Go off of the picture below



Measure what you have then fill what ever blanks you can and post it up here for everyone.

A- distance from pin to shoulder at inner bearing
B- distance from shoulder to wheel pin
C- distance from pin to end of threads
D- axle diameter at bearing
E- thread size
F- diameter of pin at transmission end
G- diameter of ball at transmission end
Obviously source of cvd. B2/B3/B44 ETC.

If we have a reference then its just a matter of measuring from the inner bearing to the outdrive and comparing that to the list. to me it sounds like a good idea. If not let me know.

As we get info posted I will try to keep the first post updated so the info is all in one place.

excellent idea, but you should extend it to include the axle diameter, the diameter of the bone 'ball' and the drive pin diameter as well.

Forgot about those. All very important information to have.

I agree, this is a GREAT idea. I've considered asking the board if a suspension arm thread would be supported/appreciated/used as well. It would be nice to know what ELSE you could use to keep your car running.

I think its a great idea. I would however call them "libraries" which would include all the different relevant information that someone would like to post. I think we could start with several threads (CVD's, suspension arms, etc) and could also move the ever popular "What the F@#K parts do I need to run modern tires on my RC10 thread ?" . All the tutorial and info rich subjects. -Jeff

The modern tires thread was the reason I red this one. I think if you read it enough times you could figure it out but for me id rather look at a chart.

When we start getting people to post numbers I will try to keep the first post updated so they are all in one place.
