Hello everyone,

Can someone please send me the post or tower link for the CVD pin rings? I swear, if I lose another pin holding together the CVD, I'm going to go insane.

I have two different CVD's. The b44's for my "old is new" RC10 and MIP GT CVD's for my RC10 Graphite Monster Truck Conversion.

heat shrink tub or a vary small drop of red thread lock on the ring. hit it with a hot sodering iron to get it off. most glues do not hold up well to heat , about 200 f glues will soffen and the bond can be broken

Thanks Steve. Haven't tried the heat shrink tubing/thread lock but have tried a ton of electrical tape and believe it or not, the pin is still popping through it.

There were these metal rings that I saw once in a post on here but haven't been able to find them since. I think I will continue to search for those but in the meantime, go with your reco.

Anyone else having the same issue?

the b4.1 uses some cool retainers around the pin... part#7996

but the truth is, if you degrease all the parts properly, machine a flat spot on the pin, use quality threadlock on the grub screw, and a good quality wrench to tighten the crap out of it, they pins should NOT go out.

+1 on the heat shrink. I put a little bit A.E. diff grease in the joint, then shrink tube over top. Works like a charm.

I looked at my b44 and the ring had tunded so the in could slide out. The grub screw was tight , never had the cross pin on other cvd slip befor. thinking more about it stopping the ring from rotating is key, as a last resort after the ring is on and clean use green locktight , small drop and the capalary action will pull it around to much and it will be glued tight. use heat to get the ring off. lonestar has great tip as well

I just found this thread, and I would like to know your process for building your CVD's. I have been using CVD'S in my cars for as long as they have been available. And I have never once had one come loose. On-road, Off-road. I have just never had it happen. Just wondering if you are missing something. -Jeff
