Well It finally arrived

This truck makes my G-made Clod look like a toy lol, The truck is in mint condition, Looks like it has never been run, It did include everything to run it, I tested it across the living room floor. The chassis is a work of art, I think the silver shock mounts may be added to mount the shocks upright, they are well made and don't look all hacked up so i will leave them (Might paint them black to match the chassis)

This will be the second truck i got from this seller, The Mountaineer i bought a wile back was also in mint condition, Completely polished.

Things i am planning on changing:

* Replace a few plastic rod ends with aluminum units (Some are already alloy)
* Add some dummy plug wires to the motor (Already has steel braid on the fuel system)
* Replace the yellow shock ends with alloy or black plastic
* Remove the ano. from the steering arm and polish it (Blue at the moment)
* Full tare down and rebuild

The reason for the rebuild is because of the smell, now don't get this wrong as im also a smoker lol, but the truck smells like an ashtray and the alloy gearbox housings look to have yellowing from smoke, i spot wiped a spot on the gearbox and the yellow wiped off to a bright chrome finish.

Anything else you guys see that might look better changed?

Looks killer! 8)

If you are planning to run the truck, I'd advise against using metal rod ends. With a steel chassis and aluminum axles, having the rod ends as the weakest point is a very good idea. It takes quite a hit to damage a plastic rod end. With metal rod ends the damage will be on the chassis or axle, or at the very least a sheared off screw.

Thanks for the comments, I think im going to shelf this clod and turn my G-Made into my runner, Id like to find some CNC machined housings to match the axle tubes, does anybody still make the gear box housings in alloy (Machined)?

William, that is a pretty sweet truck. You should still be able to find alloy housings on eBay made by Hot Racing. They look pretty nice from what I have seen.
