OK OK before I get loads of are you mad emails Ive just sold the attached bodyset to team bluegrove to be reproed. It is a NIP yokomo yz10 works pavidis shell. This is a original and NOT a mr lexan repro. Ive told him mr lexan already makes fine repros so he has promised me the shells he will be making are without the large motor bulge on the side (which he shall remove). Ive been reading there are a few quality problems with bluegrove shells but the guy seems pretty genuine and offered me a good price for the original bodyset. Always good to have the option to get this bodyset in any form as now even mr lexans shells seem to be as rare as the original HA HA (only joking jay!)

Ill never buy one of his bodies ever again.Didnt even reply when the last body I bought from him broke up on the first run and recently reports of his bodies cracking up when painted.Ive heard he gives good customer support but I only ever go of personal experience which in my dealings was garbage.A true enthusiast would atleast paint and run his new product to make sure it was of some quality.Good luck to him and anyone who buys his stuff.Id rather wait for a mr lexan repop.

I've been harassing MrLexan for the Works 91 version for some time, I truely hope these TBG ones are better quality than others that have been reported.

Crap - I really hate to hear about blue groove quality - I just ordered my first - TODAY......

and its a truck body too - so if there is anything fundamentally wrong it will probably be real evident real quick....

I'm planning for it to be a shelf queen too - so can someone explain the cracking problem??? Possibly solved by using Fascolor???

Advice please?

I've had one shell with paint that cracked.
Two reasons
1 Not enough prep done on my part to get rid of reason 2
2 TBG was using a silicon release agent which was damn hard to get rid of.

He has now changed to water based release agent. I still recommend a good wash and soak in hot soapy water followed by good rinse with cold water.
I followed this method for my last 3 TBG bodies and have had no further issues.

Thanks so much!!!!!!!

I'm pretty excessive about washing this stuff - you never know WHAT they use as a release agent and I'd rather be safe than sorry!

Durability is not an issue with me; and when there was talk of cracking I was concerned about a non lexan product that either lost flexability with paint application OR was just plain brittle (had this experience once with a 1/8th scale late model body that was a 'one hit wonder'....

Fingers crossed; moving forward!
