A club member of our track, DirtRunners R/C is putting together a vintage meet for one of our off race days. The link to his flyer is:

I will try and answer and obvious questions, but if you need specifics us the contact info on the flyer to contact John Marcotte. The rules are not set in stone, so I am sure John would like to hear your thoughts if you can attend.

Awesome! I might have to rent a Zip car and come out for this one. I checked googlemaps and it's only about an hour and fifteen from Brooklyn. I really like the rules posted on the flier so far, nice and simple and
vintage sounding.

There is "Vintage" and then there is "VINTAGE!". The allowed cars list seems very limited. I hope it is just an example of the "type" of cars allowed. I have 6 vintage racers and none of them are on that list.
Looks like a great event regardless!

I'd assume the cars listed are just examples. It would be silly to only let certain vintage models or makes to race.

It's going to be reasonably relaxed except the motor / batteries / tires. I have a Pro SE that I am going to run and I am bringing my lunchbox for shiggles. It doesn't hurt to email for clarification on your specific cars.

According to John the rules will be very relaxed, except for the cars (RC10's and All Other's) will have to run the Mabuchi 540 silver can motor (not the black Tamiya tuned motors). He wants to keep all things equal regarding power.
Sounds like fun!

I did not realize when I shared this event that the vintage race is in addition to a normal race day at our track. Feel free to bring your modern rides if they fit into any of the outdoor classes on
www.dirtrunners.com
It's probably best to view this seasons results to see what classes are running and amount of entries.
