So After getting a nice rc500 i find myself joining the long line of people with fatter wallets than Me, looking for a nice body.
And as bondo is no short supply i decided to make my own body .
And the wife being outta town for a week means the hobby room has just gained 1000 square feet of room .
This is what i am looking for finished

And this is 10 hrs into the project 15lbs of bondo , a quart of resin and a roll of mesh tape.

ok so it gone from being a 1981 to a 1975 and with that wing gone its now starting to take back that old corvette lines again 8) Tricky part is bringing the rear window back and changing the lines to a hard top ,the pic shows two reinforcing bars that i will mimic in the mold .Giving me a center window to cut out for the engine to keep cool.

Image
so i cut a piece of lexan with the curve i needed and then built the edge up with 3mm glazzing tape so to give me some shaping room

so after removing the rear wing we are getting somewhere i also put a hard top on it

Image
i have added more material to the ass to round in a nice curve

the front end is going to be low!! 8) i will have to rework the front as the model has three vent one off set .

I apologize in advance if that is your vette- but it looks like the end result of HRM's "vette hack"
