LiPos and water?

A couple of years ago I changed to LiPos on my Tamiya F350 but I've never had the guts to run them submerged, I always swap to my NiMh packs for water sports. So the question is can I without issue run my hard cased LiPo packs fully submerged?
I'm hoping for a definitive answer from someone who has experience of this

it's fine, as long as the balance plug or the deans connector don't get wet and short out which I don't know how you can submerge without this happening and burning your truck into a little flaming ball-

I use Trakpower gold bricks so Corally style connectors, I never thought about the balance port

The connectors don't short on the NiMh, do the cells we use have the power to short through water?

I know that the cases are waterproof, but maybe if you packed the connector with dielectric grease of something it would be ok, but it's a hell of a fire if it shorts-
