Anyone have a source for any of the bottom chassis screws? I know there is something contemporary out there in black, but I don't recall from who. Is Losi still selling them?

I bought some screws from losi using the part number from the original jrx-T manual. The description said 8-32 aluminum screws, as did the package, but when I got them they were silver steel screws.
I have not been able to find any of the black aluminum ones myself.

you could cheat a little and try these black oxide steel screws
http://www.microfasteners.com/catalog/products/MSCFMSP.cfm
at the bottom of the list, phillips head 8-32 x3/8.
They won't look exactly the same, but will not stick out as much as silver headed screws.
I'll keep looking for better options.

I was afraid of that. I may grab a few lots of various lengths in unfinished aluminum and have my anodizer do a batch for me.
If it comes down to that, and anyone is interested in some, let me know what you need here in this thread and in what lengths. I'll see what I can do.

I'll take some, I need to check on the exact length for the JRX-2, want to say it was 3/8.

the jrx-2 used both 3/8 and 1/2"

I'd be in for some of each if you can get them done reasonably.

Me too, if the price is reasonable. I'l take enough for one complete JRX2.

Ok, if there is enough demand, I will look into putting together a complete JRX2 black screw package and see if it has legs.
I'll probably do at least one for myself, so if there is need, I'll do multiple sets, for sure.

Sweet. And, if you could source the nylon nuts that go on the wheels and shocks, you'd really have something going.

i have a question. did losi ever make 8-32 screws that had a slightly smaller head? on my cars the tranny & bulkhead screw are so close the heads always seem to overlap or mash into each other and not sit flush. i have been using associated screws in gold or blue but some of the black losi ones seem do it too. i usually take the bulkhead screws and turn down the head a little so they will fit. any body else see or have this problem?

Ok, 6-6 white nylon 4-40, 8-32 and 10-32 shoulder nuts are now sourced and on the way to me.
Working on the 8-32 Phillips. I should be able to offer a complete set for the JRX2 of the nylon nuts and black screws very soon.
wOOt!

I emailed fastener express

They have lots of styles and colors in stock , but not black(yet). They asked for a quantity, how many does everyone want?
