Cougar 2 Works differences?

I recently got myself a boxed Cougar 2 Works U452. I was wondering if anyone had noticed any differences between the U452 and U453 versions of the buggy? Or are these completely identical and just a part number change.

Thanks
Paul.

On your box U452 , the rollerdriveshafts are included.

look here http://www.tamiyaclub.com/article.asp?id=240

And here U453 http://www.tamiyaclub.com/pictureframe.asp?t=n&id=img10651_05092008090455_2.jpg

How odd! I thought the 'Works' kit was always sold as the 'full fat' version - with roller shafts & ball raced steering!

CAT3K - are these both new kits - or are they the boxes from built up cars? Either way i'd love to see more pictures :)

That's what i was thinking. I always assumed the works cougar was the best, but it seems not all were created equal.

The two boxes are from built up cars, one's a works the other is a team. I bought them a few weeks ago and havn't had a chance to do much with them.

That's my spare room storage area, far too much here to actually work on cars, i save that for the dining room table :D I'll post up some more pictures of the cougars when i get a chance :)

Great!.... I recognise that Works from the Tamiyaclub site, if I remember correctly its pretty much new built, with a minty chassis? 8)

Looks like we have similar history/tastes in R/C racers, most of mine have been two wheel drives, i've also owned/own a Cobra, Meteor, Cougars 1 & 2 & Fireblades also (USA then EVO)

P.S; do you still have the Mardave Meteor, i'm having a bit of a 'thing' for them at the moment, i've just scored some spares & LWB chassis for one off ebay - but haven't got a car to fit them too!

No... I brought some saddle pack trays/straps from the guy that owned it - they actually came out of CAT3K's car & now reside in my 'Works'..... he then later had it advertised for sale.

Scott your car is one of my all time favourites & quite distinctive with the 'advert' shell.... incidentally I was chatting to the guy that raced the 'original' (when he was a Schumacher employee) the other day :D

Yes, that's the one! :)

I've actually swapped the shells around, as i prefer the pink one on the works until i get myself a new one from Kamtec and spray it up.

The Meteor i've only had a week, i got it from a local house clearance auction for a fiver :D it's nice and original just waiting for a restoration, when i've cleared other projects that is... maybe. I always prefer Schumies though...

My US Works Cougar came with no roller shafts. I guess Stormer Hobbies back in the day didn't want to tell me that when I ordered..............

Thats interesting. So my works that does not have rollers but has BB steering is anatomically correct?

Learn something new every day!

Thanks for the info Jeroen. You are the Shuey king!
