well, im sure none of u know me(unless u know me from another forum), but a long story short, this was my first r/c. I got it when i was 7 years old, It was the early early version with the MSC, and no slipper, and once the slipper came out, i(my bro) bought it, i should have the original somewhere. Ive had it for 9 years(im 16). i dont have any older pix, of how it was originally, but i have the MSC set-up in my toolbox. (btw, my bro has an rc10t2 he got like 15 or so years ago)
now.. less talky, more pixxy...
as u can see, the original body is cut... my cousin wanted to jump his xxx-nt off a giant rock, and he had no body.. my body ended up being cut to fit his xxx-nt(it was cut backwards, LOL)
i dont plan to make this new school in any other way(other than the necessary parts that break and stuff, its still running the older hubs which run the 5x8x.25 bushings/bearings, im running bearings in mine. still has the original plastic gears for the tranny
enjoy!

It may be old-looking, but I don't think 9 years is old enough for anything to be considered "vintage". Maybe in 25 years...
Sorry, but "vintage" and "rare" are two of the more commonly mis-used words on eBay. Think "vintage" like a fine wine, it just gets better with age. Wine that's barely a decade old is simply fermented grape juice.
Welcome to the forum, that car should be fun to run.

Well Welcome to RC10Talk. Your Rustler should make a good vintage runner. That cyclone will be able to handle whatever extra brushed power you send its way.

hehe thanks
i know its not really considered vintage.. or rare(as tower still sells all the older parts), but its not something you see every day, with the xl1 slipper, the cyclone, and that body
the cyclone runs great, never had a problem with it, and my bro got it for me so i learn not to crash, cause then id have to run to the car and turn it over or turn it around... damn no reverse escs.. lol life gets much easier with reverse

Your Rusty is a great all around runner. Great thing about it is if you break anything on it you can still pick it up off the shelf

I like cyclones in Vintage/semi-Vintage Traxxas:
Great looking truck, take to out and run it!

HI!... Looks good. I got one off a guy for like $20. It's the older Rustler like yours with the black chassis. After that they were all gray. I'm in the process of restoring it.

thanks
thats a nice roller u got there, looks very clean
i may have to say goodbye to this guy soon, ive always wanted an rc10t, and now since i found a whole community of guys that successfully run em and dont give up, it might be a good time to buy one, though, i may keep this guy for bashing around.. he's quite tough.
