Cannot find the bell crank

Yesterday I was out running in the street with my neighbor who just got his electric traxxas rustler for Christmas. We drag raced and I beat him good. But we had two collisions. First head on and my battery tie down snapped and my body got cracked up. The second time I came to a stop and he hit me and broke my a-arm, bellcrank and a ball joint. I cannot find the bell crank anywhere and of course finding the a-arms is difficult too along with the fact I need to find a new battery tie down. I am having little success finding parts. Any ideas?

wow... i don't have a clue how to search ebay. thanks!

ashame those arms aren't white. I would really like to eventually restore my championship edition. because of part availability it has a team chasis (black) and some other black parts. Although I still have the gold shocks and and 6 gear tranny and may other unbroken white parts

Yea, the ebay search function is only as good as the listing title. You'll be able to find some white arms on their too. If not today, some will certainly pop up within a week or two. I've found that searching for "vintage RC10" yeilds good results. You'll proabally start seeing stuff you didn't even know you wanted, lol

The only word of advice is to make sure you're not buying really old parts. Some people sell really old and worn out parts. I guess if it's for a runner however, it may not be a concern.

Best!

my problem is I run my cars hard but I want to be able to run my championship RC10 and still keep it in great condition.

it seems to me I am going to need to restore it and make it a shelf queen... almost seems pointless to have a restored RC10 sitting on a shelf :(

but when I brake it parts are becoming too difficult to find. Maybe I ought to just run the team car i picked up last year. But of course that is old too... What's a guy to do?

I know, what to do?

You can usually find what you need either here or ebay. It can get pricy to replace RC10 parts on Ebay. Spend some time on Tower too, they still have a lot of oringinal RC10 parts in black at "regular" prices. I have a hard time with their search function somtimes. I've found the best way to search Towerhobbies is by Associated part number "ASC6210" or "ASC6206" for example. You can look up the part numbers on assocaited site:

http://teamassociated.com/pdf/cars_and_trucks/RC10/Team/rc10_manual.pdf

http://teamassociated.com/pdf/cars_and_trucks/RC10/Team/cat_rc10.pdf

A couple more links to a arms on ebay:

http://cgi.ebay.com/vintage-rc10-front-arms-/330520461792?pt=Radio_Control_Vehicles&hash=item4cf48e01e0

http://cgi.ebay.com/RC10-A-arms-lot-used-gold-pan-extra-AE-losi-vintage-NR-/320642398794?pt=Radio_Control_Parts_Accessories&hash=item4aa7c6ba4a

I keep one RC10 shelfer, one runner and one that I keep on a shelf but can run if I want. So I say run it. IMO it only goes on a shelf if the chassis is mint.

OH, and here is the ball joint...

Just keep an eye out on ebay and pick up a few parts cars for spares.

That is what I am hoping for if the prices on them don't sky rocket

latest acquired parts via ebay.

I have decided to restore the RC10 I got when I was 13 and park it (except for safe drive time) and run the RC10 I bought last year on craigslist for $40. Came in the original box and all barely used, but it is already a black chasis and hold no sentimental value. Not to mention this one came with the stealth tranny.

Well I ended up spending about $50 in parts on eBay. I think I got good deals though. I just need to figure out the stock wheel size because my current wheels are too big to match anything original
