Just found this on my mates Facebook profile ... John is the one on the far right but the other two lads also lived nearby (Scott on the left lived in the same street) & we all used to race at the same club. The picture was taken for a small peice in the local Newspaper (hence being black & white I guess) About the three young racers & their race successes

Awesome! I think that this is why I chase this vintage hobby so much, I just hope that our kids don't worry if it's "cool" enough to get a few trophy's and have a bunch of fun!

Cheers guys... its definately a photo that stirs up the old nostalgia! Whats scary is that that those days seem so fresh in my mind - I was in the same year at School as John (right) we'll both be 34 this year The other two lads were in the year below (we all went to the same school also)

Makes me laugh how its obvious that they've all just come home from school, as they are still wearing their shirts but taken off their ties ..... also none of us now, have any hair between us!!

I wish I would have thought about takeing pictures back when I was racing. we were haveing to much fun to stop and do it. Great Pick

yeah the thought alway's hit home, why didn't we take photo's of this stuff when young! have to blame our parent's

Becuase film and developing took more time and money. Though I tend to like old pics for that reason, they seem more meaningful, but I digress down memory lane

Well, this picture was taken by the local Newspaper cameraman - you could order a print of any of the photos that appeared in print. I guess one of the proud mum's ordered this. Lee (the middle lad) I guess scanned it & posted it on Facebook.

My dad was quite keen to take pictures of us & our hobbies so I have quite a few of me & my R/C cars & planes

@ RCVeteren, there's very little of the JRX2 left worth having! But there were a few interesting parts that were in the box of bits - theres a thread in the Losi section showing some of them I would like to build a runner sometime this year & incorporate as many of those parts as possible - & top it off with a Flourescent Orange shell, as a homage to the original car
